Europe Sea Temperatures

Today Europe sea temperatures

Europe's sea temperatures range from the year-round warm waters of the Mediterranean to the sea ice of the Arctic Circle.

Heavily influenced by the Atlantic Gulf Stream current Western Europe's sea temperatures remain higher than might be expected. Even the sea in Iceland rarely freezes with most sea ice here having drifted from further afield.

The Atlantic coast of mainland Europe is never as warm as the Mediterranean but usually hovers around a pleasant 20°C / 69°F in the summer months.
