Central America & Caribbean Sea Temperatures
Central America sits well within the tropics and just above the Equator so it is little surprise the sea temperature is generally warm. There isn't a great deal in variance of coastal temperatures between the Atlantic and Pacific coasts either, although the Atlantic coast may be a little warmer in the winter due to the influence of the shallow waters of the Caribbean Sea.
Pacific currents such as the Humboldt can also be a factor on sea temperature on the Pacific coast.
